Michael Beam

Michael Beam is an experienced fire protection professional with a robust background in engineering and design. Currently serving as a Fire Plans Examiner and previously as an Associate Fire Plans Examiner at Santa Clara County Fire Department since August 2018, Michael has honed expertise in fire safety protocols. Prior roles include Design Manager and Designer at Walschon Fire Protection Inc, as well as design work at Transbay Fire Protection. Michael began a career in construction at Richard Beam Construction and gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Correll Lab. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
