Peter Norton

Peter Norton is a GIS Analyst at Santa Clara County Fire Department since December 2020, focusing on analyzing hazards, community risks, and emergency responses while maintaining data integration across various divisions. Previously, Peter served as a Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley, from August 2018 to August 2020, teaching Environmental Science for Sustainable Development and enhancing online course materials with an emphasis on data analysis in environmental science. Peter's experience includes a role as a Geospatial Data Modeling Consultant at Norton Geodesign, creating a wildfire evacuation system, a Geospatial Data Research Assistant at the Center for Catastrophic Risk Management, and a Remote Sensing Science Consultant at NASA DEVELOP. Peter received a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture with a focus on Environmental Planning and a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Environmental Design from UC Berkeley.
