Lee Butler

Lee Butler has over 16 years of experience in urban planning and community development. Lee currently serves as the Director of Planning & Community Development for the City of Santa Cruz. Prior to this, they worked as the Planning Manager for the City of Santa Clara from 2016 to 2017. Before that, they were the Development Center Manager for the City of Gilroy from 2012 to 2016. Lee also held the position of Senior Executive Analyst & Development Services Project Manager for the San Jose Planning, Building, Public Works, & Fire Prevention department from 2010 to 2012. Lee Butler began their career with the City of San Jose Planning Division, where they held various roles, including Senior Planner, Planner II, Planner I, and Planning Technician, from 2001 to 2010.

Lee Butler attended the University of Virginia from 1995 to 1999, where they pursued a degree in Environmental Sciences. No specific field of study was indicated for their degree.
