Erica Aisha Charves

Erica Aisha Charves is an experienced program manager and event coordinator with a strong background in community service and mental health. Currently serving as the Program Manager at the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County, Erica coordinates Career Services and Healthy Connections to assist individuals with mental health diagnoses in employment preparation. Previous roles include interim program coordinator at UCSC Cantú, program coordinator at Out in Our Faith, and event coordinator for various organizations including the University of California, Santa Cruz, and the Diversity Center Santa Cruz County. Erica's early career involved research and journalism focused on gender and culture in the Middle East, supported by a Fulbright Fellowship and experience at UAEU. Erica holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Development, Communication, and Arabic from Portland State University.
