Mary Pappas (She/Her)

Director, District Child Care at Santa Rosa City Schools District

I have worked with children all my life, from babysitting as a teenager, to working at a pre-school program. While starting a family, I opened an Infant/Toddler Home Day Care for 4 years, so I could work while staying home with my babies. I moved from San Francisco, to Santa Rosa in 1983. I started working in the Santa Rosa City Schools, Child Care Program in 1985. I served as secretary on the School Site Council at Proctor Terrace Elementary School, and was a member of the Sonoma County Child Care Planning Council, the City of Santa Rosa Child Care Committee and the SRJC Child Development Committee. I continue to have a passion for children and making a positive impact in their lives.
