Joelson Sampaio

Joelson Sampaio is a distinguished finance professor with extensive academic and professional experience. Currently serving as a Professor de finanças at both FGV and the Faculdade de Economia, Administração, Contabilidade e Atuária da Universidade de São Paulo, Joelson also holds a productive research fellowship with CNPq at PQ Nível 2. In addition to academic roles, Joelson is an active member of various committees, including the risks committee at BNDES and the statutory audit committee at São Paulo Turismo S.A. Furthermore, expertise in economic analysis is demonstrated through positions as an economic expert for the Ministério Público do Estado de Minas Gerais and the Tribunal de Justiça de São Paulo. Joelson’s previous leadership role as a director at the Sociedade Brasileira de Finanças and experience as an economic advisor at Infra S.A. complement a robust academic background, including a Ph.D. in Corporate Finance and Financial Markets from Harvard Kennedy School and post-doctoral studies in Economics from the University of São Paulo.
