Chris Francis

Chris Francis is an experienced operations and process engineer with a strong background in the pulp and paper industry. Currently serving as Area Operations Manager at Sappi North America since October 2018, Chris has held various roles including Area Operations Coordinator and Senior Process Engineer, focusing primarily on technical support for pulping operations. Previously, Chris worked at Crane Currency as a Process Engineer, leading a cross-functional team on yield improvement initiatives, and at Verso Corporation and Verso Paper Corp. in process engineering roles, contributing to new product trials and statistical process control. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
