Ruben van der Merwe

Ruben van der Merwe is an experienced professional in the forestry and supply chain sectors, currently serving as the Sales Manager at Sappi since January 2017. In this role, Ruben manages the Sales & Operational planning processes for the Sappi Stanger and Lomati mills, focusing on balancing product demand with supply and overseeing stock management throughout the supply chain. Previously, Ruben held the position of Management Forester Harvesting, where responsibilities included managing extensive Gum and Pine harvesting operations. Ruben's career in forestry began with roles such as Forester Silviculture and Forester in Training, following academic achievements that include a Diploma in Forestry from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and a high school diploma from Piet Retief.
