Luigi Vassallo

Luigi Vassallo has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of technology and digital transformation. Luigi began their career in 1996 as a Manager at Albacom (BT Italia) and later served as VP of Technology at Telecom Italia/TIM. Luigi then joined Matrix, a subsidiary of Telecom Italia, as Chief Technology Officer. In 2011, Luigi became the VP of Innovation and Product Development at Populis, where they led digital strategies and managed product development.

In 2014, Luigi co-founded Qube OS and also worked as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at EXPO 2015 S.P.A., where they established ICT system frameworks and implemented cybersecurity measures.

Later, they joined VimpelCom as the Head of Group IT Infrastructure, where they developed IT infrastructure and introduced digital and technological strategies. Luigi also worked as a Contract Professor at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" from 2007 to 2015.

In 2017, Luigi joined Sara Assicurazioni S.p.A. as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and eventually took on the role of CTO and COO. Luigi led digital transformation programs, managed cyber security processes, and implemented multi-public cloud strategies. Luigi optimized coordination and communication systems, introduced SaaS operations, and managed change management procedures.

Additionally, Luigi Vassallo is a Member of the Board of Advisors at Osservatori Digital Innovation since 2020. Overall, Luigi has demonstrated expertise in technology leadership, digital transformation, cyber security, and organizational management.

Luigi Vassallo completed their Master's degree in Computer Science from Università degli Studi di Salerno between 1986 and 1990. Following that, in 1990-1991, they pursued a Postgraduate Course in ICT & Business Management at Telecom Italia Learning Center.

In addition to their formal education, Luigi Vassallo has obtained various certifications. Luigi completed courses like "Supervised Learning with scikit-learn," "Professional Data Analyst," "Financial Accounting," "The Data Science Course 2021: Complete Data Science Bootcamp," "Advanced Competitive Strategy," "Competitive Strategy," "Introduction to Natural Language Processing in Python," "Operational Excellence Lighthouse Award," "Data Scientist with Python," "Machine Learning with Tree-Based Models in Python," "Machine Learning with scikit-learn," and "Statistics for Data Science and Business Analysis" from institutions such as DataCamp, Harvard Business School Online, Udemy, and Coursera Course Certificates.

Moreover, Luigi Vassallo pursued a "Data Scientist with R Track" from DataCamp in 2019 and completed courses like "Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technologies" from Coursera - Princeton University in 2017. Luigi also accomplished certifications in "Game Theory" and "Machine Learning" from Coursera Course Certificates in 2017 and 2016, respectively.
