R. David Evans

R. David Evans has a strong background in the legal and healthcare industry. R. David currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. Prior to this, they served as the System Vice President, General Counsel at Hendrick Health. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as the Associate Chief Legal Officer at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. R. David also has experience as an Attorney at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP and Peterson & Myers, P.A., where they provided legal counsel to healthcare clients on various regulatory and transactional matters. Additionally, they worked as a Law Clerk at Health Management Associates, Inc., Florida Medical Association, and for Senator Mel Martinez in the United States Senate.

R. David Evans holds a Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, which they obtained from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Juris Doctorate degree at the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law from 2008 to 2011. Their undergraduate education took place at Wake Forest University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government and Communications from 2003 to 2007. Before their university studies, David graduated from George W. Jenkins High School in 2003.
