Drew Hamer

Drew Hamer serves as Chief Financial Officer for Sarcos Technology and Robotics Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s financial functions, including accounting, audit, treasury, and corporate finance. He shares responsibility with the leadership team in identifying, communicating, driving, and executing strategic and tactical goals and opportunities.

Hamer has over 25 years of experience providing strategic and operational financial leadership to technology companies experiencing rapid growth. Before joining Sarcos, Hamer served as Chief Financial Officer at Velodyne Lidar, where he collaborated with the management team on the go-to-market strategy that resulted in raising $500M+ through a SPAC merger, strategic investors, bank facilities, and property sales that led to the company’s listing on the NASDAQ. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer or in other finance leadership roles at ON24, Keynote, Excite@Home, and Sybase.

Hamer earned his Master of Accounting from Florida International University and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Binghamton University. He was a finalist for the 2021 Bay Area CFO of the Year award held by the San Francisco Business Times.
