Joe Zenkus

Joe Zenkus has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Joe is currently working at Sarepta Therapeutics as the Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Alliances, a position they have held since February 2021. Before that, they served as the Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Alliances at the same company from June 2019 to February 2021.

Prior to their time at Sarepta Therapeutics, Joe held various roles at Pfizer from 2014 to 2019. Joe started as the Senior Director of Global Business Development and later became the Business Development Lead for Rare Diseases worldwide.

Joe also had a role at Mylan from 2009 to 2014, where they served as the Vice President of Sales & Channel Development. Joe led various teams and executed transactions for business development and sales.

Joe also worked at Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan Chase in the early stages of their career and gained experience in the healthcare industry. Additionally, Joe had a brief role at GE Healthcare as a Summer Associate in Business Development.

Before their corporate career, Joe founded and operated Synergy Systems Health Care as a Physical Therapist. Joe successfully sold the business for a profit and achieved significant growth during their ownership.

Joe Zenkus began their career in sales at Schering-Plough (now Merck), where they contributed to improving market share and developed a business plan for a joint venture.

Joe Zenkus has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, General from the London Business School. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physical Therapy from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Joe also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physiology, General from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
