Louis Springer has a diverse and extensive work experience in the military and aerospace sectors. Louis began their career in 1993 as a Submarine Officer in the US Navy, where they gained experience in technical operations and maintenance of nuclear propulsion plants and submarine operations. From 2021 to 2023, they served as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineering, overseeing maintenance and certification for nuclear-powered submarines and leading critical Navy military construction projects.
In 2020, Springer worked as the Director of Commander's Action Group at United States Strategic Command, where they were responsible for building and supervising a team while developing reports and messaging for the Commander. Prior to that, they served as the Commanding Officer of USS GEORGIA (SSGN 729) Blue and developed plans to improve operational proficiency following a shipyard period.
Springer's work experience also includes roles such as Branch Head at Nuclear Weapons Policy OPNAV N514, Commanding Officer of USS RHODE ISLAND Blue (SSBN 740), Division Head at Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Executive Officer of USS MARYLAND (SSBN 738) Gold, Staff Officer at Second Fleet Staff, and Engineer Officer at USS NORFOLK (SSN-714).

Louis Springer earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Alfred University, where they attended from 1991 to 1995. Louis further pursued their education by obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Military National Resource Strategy and Policy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, attending from 2009 to 2010.
