Richard Cochran

Richard Cochran possesses extensive experience in building maintenance and construction instruction, currently serving as a Professional Building Maintenance Instructor at United Planning Organization since June 2019. Richard’s role involves preparing students for careers as maintenance technicians through comprehensive courses that include OSHA standards and various construction skills. Additionally, Richard has been an Adjunct Instructor at ABC Craftmasters since March 2016, teaching NCCER trades and related safety protocols. Richard also contributes to Sasha Bruce Youthbuild as a Construction Instructor since June 2013, focusing on foundational construction skills. From April 1987 to December 2001, Richard held various roles, including Lead Carpenter and Construction Instructor, across multiple companies, emphasizing mentorship and practical training for youth in the field. Richard holds certifications in Building Construction Technology from the University of the District of Columbia and training from the Chesapeake Region Safety Council.
