Senior Optimization Engineer at Satalia

Tommaso Urli has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Tommaso started their career as a Developer at Italpro di Michele Beltrame in 2007. Later that year, they worked as a Developer and Graphic Designer at ITACA Informatica. In 2010, they became a Research Fellow at the University of Udine. From 2011 to 2013, Tommaso worked as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow and a Ph.D. candidate at the University degli Studi di Udine, focusing on combining various optimization methods for logistics and timetabling applications. In 2012, they briefly served as a Visiting Ph.D. Student at the University of Adelaide. Tommaso then joined NICTA in 2014 and worked as a Researcher until 2017. During their time at NICTA, they also served as a Research Scientist at CSIRO's Data61 from 2016 to 2017. Tommaso's most recent position is as an Optimisation Engineer at Satalia, starting in 2017.

Tommaso Urli began their education at Liceo Scientifico L. Magrini in Gemona del Friuli from 1999 to 2004, where they pursued a degree in Biology. Tommaso then moved on to Università degli Studi di Udine and obtained a Degree in Computer Science from 2004 to 2007. Afterward, they continued their studies at the same university and earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from 2008 to 2010. In 2008, they briefly attended Lund University, focusing on Computer Science. Later, Tommaso pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from 2011 to 2014 at Università degli Studi di Udine. Additionally, in 2013, they attended the 1st International Optimization Summer School in Kioloa, NSW, Australia, although it is unclear whether they obtained a degree from this program.
