Ruben Cordovilla Piñeiro

Ruben Cordovilla Piñeiro has diverse work experience in the field of space technology engineering. Ruben began their career at SATLANTIS in 2016. At SATLANTIS, they worked as an Opt-Mec Space Technology Engineer, where they were responsible for the opto-mechanical development of the iSIM High Resolution Earth Observation Camera. Their tasks included CAD design of components, mechanical and thermal analysis of the camera assemblies, and dimensional control and testing of manufactured pieces.

In 2017, Ruben transitioned into the role of ECS Space Technology Engineer at SATLANTIS. In this position, they contributed to the development of the Monitoring and Validation Platform of the Electronics and Control Subsystem of the iSIM Camera. Ruben was involved in processing and transmitting raw images and C&DH data from the on-board computer to the EGSE. Ruben utilized LabVIEW and SIMULINK for their work in this role.

Before joining SATLANTIS, Ruben gained teaching experience as a private tutor. From 2009 to 2016, they worked autonomously as a private tutor, providing support to students ranging from middle school to university level.
