Carmen Houston Ryan, CPSM

Carmen Houston Ryan has accumulated extensive work experience in marketing and communications throughout their career. Carmen currently holds the position of Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, starting in February 2022. Prior to this, they served on the CREW Houston Board of Directors from January 2021 to December 2022. Carmen also held the role of Director of Marketing and Business Development at Pape-Dawson Engineers from May 2017 to February 2022.

Before joining Pape-Dawson Engineers, Carmen worked as the Director of Marketing at GEOSCIENCE Support Services, Inc. from May 2016 to May 2017. Carmen also served as the Texas Region Marketing Manager at BE&K Building Group from May 2013 to May 2016.

In addition to their industry work, Carmen has been actively involved in professional organizations. Carmen served as the Houston Chapter President of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) in 2013-2014. Prior to this, they held the role of Marketing and Communications Manager at FKP Architects from January 2008 to April 2013. Carmen began their career as a Senior Project Manager at The Lentz Group from January 2001 to January 2008.

Carmen Houston Ryan, CPSM received their B.A. in Communication from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, where they attended from 1999 to 2000. In addition to their degree, Carmen also obtained the certification of Certified Professional Services Marketer from the Society for Marketing Professional Services in October 2005.
