John Shonk

John Shonk has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. John started their most recent role in 2020 as the Lead Supply Chain Management Specialist at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. Prior to that, they worked at Bechtel Power from 2017 to 2020, where they held multiple roles including Contract Specialist, Inventory Management, and Procurement Agent. From 2016 to 2017, they worked at Bechtel National Inc as a Procurement Agent. In 2011, they worked at Bechtel Oil, Gas, & Chemicals as an Expediting Specialist. Before that, they worked at 365 Plus Media, LLC as the Operations and Development Manager in 2010. Their work experience also includes a role as a Representative at a Humanitarian Organization from 2003 to 2005, and as a Graphics Designer and Intern at Petrolera Ameriven in 2002.

John Shonk obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Business and Spanish from Texas Tech University between 2007 and 2009. John then pursued further education and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Sam Houston State University from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, John Shonk has obtained additional certifications, including Construction Contracting from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in December 2022 and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Bechtel Power in November 2019.
