Evan Cornell

Evan Cornell is an experienced hardware engineer with expertise in designing, verifying, and testing electronic hardware for various industries. Evan has worked at Savant Systems as a Senior Hardware Engineer, where they were responsible for designing high-end home automation and energy management products. Evan also worked as a Hardware Design Engineer at the same company, focusing on microcontroller-based systems and advanced audio sub-systems. Prior to their time at Savant Systems, they worked at JMJ Engineering Consulting as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, specializing in underwater battery-powered communications systems. Evan has also worked at Taco Comfort Solutions as an Electrical Engineer, designing electronic hardware and firmware for heating, cooling, plumbing, and irrigation products. Evan has experience with wireless microcontrollers, high-voltage relays, DC-DC converters, and wired communication interfaces. Earlier in their career, Evan worked at Texas Instruments as a Systems Engineer, where they designed PCB-level reference designs for building automation systems. Evan Cornell pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2013. Before that, from 2008 to 2012, Evan completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering, also at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Prior to attending Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Evan Cornell attended Bowling Green State University-Firelands from 2005 to 2008, where they studied Computer Science. Before their university studies, Evan completed their high school education at Edison High School from 2004 to 2008.

Additionally, Evan Cornell has obtained two certifications. In August 2021, they received the Allegro PCB Editor Intermediate Techniques vSPB17.4 certification from Cadence Design Systems. In December 2017, Evan obtained the OrCAD Certified - Capture 17.2 certification from Logical Operations / Communispond.
