Astrid deRidder

Astrid deRidder has an extensive work experience in the publishing industry. Astrid is currently working as the VP, Content at Save My Exams since 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of VP Content & Learning at FutureLearn from 2022-2023 and Director of Content from 2021-2022. Astrid has also served as the Head of Custom Publishing and Planning at Macmillan Education (Springer Nature) from 2018-2021.

Their previous roles include Head of Business Development, Education Reform and Head of Content at Cambridge University Press from 2016-2018 and 2015-2016 respectively. Astrid also worked as a Content Development Manager at Cambridge University Press from 2013-2015.

Prior to their time at Cambridge, they worked at Insight Guides / Apa Publications as a Publishing Technology and eBook Manager from 2011-2013 and Commissioning Editor from 2010-2012. Astrid started their career at Pearson Education as a Senior Editor in 2010.

Astrid has also worked at Random House and Avalon Publishing Group as a Production Editor in 2007, and at Career Press/New Page Books as a Book Editor from 2005-2007.

Astrid deRidder earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Harp Performance from the University of Denver in 2002. In 2004-2005, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Literary and Cultural Studies at Carnegie Mellon University. Following that, in 2007-2008, Astrid obtained a certificate from New York University in Publishing. Currently, they are enrolled in The Open University, where they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which is expected to be completed in 2023.
