Sonia Walia Bawa

Sonia Walia Bawa has over 20 years of experience in various learning and development roles. Sonia started their career as a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at The Associates Financial Services in 1997. Sonia then moved on to work at CIBC as a Training and Development Professional for over a decade. Sonia later joined E-Care Contact Centers, WorkSafeBC, and Technical Safety BC in learning and development specialist roles. In 2018, they transitioned to Save-On-Foods, where they progressed from a Leadership and Learning Specialist to a Director of People Development.

Sonia Walia Bawa obtained a Diploma in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University in 2006-2007. Sonia also completed a program in Project Management for Learning Professionals at Learning + Training Online Live in 2014. Additionally, they received a certification as an Insights Practitioner from Insights in 2018. Sonia pursued Coaching and Mentoring studies at UBC Sauder School of Business from an unspecified start year to 2016.
