Cheryl Townsend-Bakkum

Cheryl Townsend-Bakkum has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Cheryl most recently served as the Vice President of Commercial Operations at Savista, where they provided strategic leadership for the sales organization and oversaw the development of tools and training for the sales team. Prior to Savista, Cheryl worked at Welltok, Inc. as the Vice President of Finance and Accounting/Controller, where they were responsible for all accounting and financial functions of the company.

Before that, they were the Associate Vice President of Finance at TriZetto, A Cognizant Company, where they managed financial operations, internal and external reporting, and cash forecasting. Cheryl also played a key role in managing a successful $150M second lien term loan and implementing a reporting SharePoint site.

Cheryl has experience in the healthcare industry as well, having worked at PacifiCare Health Systems as the Senior Financial Reporting and Analysis Manager, where they were responsible for reporting and analyzing commercial profitability.

Cheryl began their career in consulting at KPMG (now Bearing Point) and later worked at JD Edwards (now Oracle), where they held various strategic planning and integration roles.

Cheryl also has a background in financial analysis from their time in the US Air Force, where they served as a Financial Analyst. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their expertise in finance, accounting, strategic planning, and commercial operations.

Cheryl Townsend-Bakkum completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Miami University in 1992. Cheryl then pursued their MBA in International Business and Finance from Loyola Marymount University, which they finished in 1995.
