Prof. Dr. Haluk Gorgun

Prof. Dr. Haluk Gorgun currently serves as the President of the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) since June 2023. Previous roles include CEO and Member of the Executive Board at Aselsan from March 2017 to September 2023, and Member of the Executive Board at Bilişim Vadisi from December 2014 to May 2018. Additionally, Gorgun held the position of Rector at Gebze Technical University from November 2014 to May 2018, and served as Vice President at Yıldız Technical University in 2014. At YTU, Gorgun was also the Director of the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences from May 2013 to March 2014. Gorgun earned a Ph.D. in Electric Power and Control from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between 1999 and 2004.
