Alison Melendez

Alison Melendez has a diverse range of work experience. Alison began their career as a Website Technician at the Center for Latino Arts and Culture in 2015, where they worked until January 2019. During this time, they gained experience in website maintenance and technical support.

In 2018, Alison joined Wakefern Food Corp. and held multiple roles within the company. As a Programmer Intern from May to August 2018, they gained foundational programming skills. Alison then became an Associate Programmer (Co-Op Program) from September 2018 to May 2019, where they assisted with the launch of new technologies for ShopRite stores, including creating user documentation for the Jade device.

Alison further advanced their programming skills as an Associate Programmer from May 2019 to March 2020. Alison worked with XML files on Point of Sales systems and later transitioned to the Electronic Payment Systems team, where they focused on pin pad device testing and system changes. From March 2020 to December 2021, they worked as a Programmer, leading the implementation of a new fraud tool and assisting with the addition of online SNAP to the company's online platform using Java programming.

Alison'smost recent work experience is as an Associate Software Developer at Savvas Learning Company, starting in January 2023.

Alison Melendez enrolled in Rutgers University in 2015 and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Technology and Informatics, with a minor in DCIM, in 2019. In 2022, they attended Flatiron School to study Computer Software Engineering, but it is not specified whether they obtained a degree from this institution.
