Catherine Flatley has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Catherine started their career as an Account Manager at Baxter Healthcare, where they handled sales and account management responsibilities. Following this, they ventured into self-employment, focusing on media program management. Catherine then joined McDougal Littell as the Director of Publishing Processes, where they oversaw editorial business operations and publishing processes. Catherine later advanced to the role of VP of Editorial Operations, where they were responsible for program and project management, quality assurance, and product development budget management. Catherine then moved to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as the VP and Editor in Chief of K-12 Product Customization. In this position, they played a vital role in shaping and customizing educational content. Catherine joined Pearson in 2010 as VP of Strategic Sourcing and Content Operations, leading various initiatives including procurement, product development, strategic partnerships, and process improvement. Catherine held this position until 2019 when they transitioned to Savvas Learning Co, previously known as Pearson K12 Learning, still in the role of VP of Strategic Sourcing and Content Operations. Their responsibilities included supporting product development and delivery, rights and contract management, strategic partnerships, and resource management. Catherine's most recent work experience is at Chief, where they are a member of a private network designed to empower senior women leaders and drive change from the top-down.
