Doug Thennes

Doug Thennes has extensive experience in the finance field, particularly within the educational industry. Doug has held various leadership roles at Savvas Learning Co. (formerly Pearson K12 Learning) and Pearson. As Vice President of Sales Finance, Doug has partnered with senior executives to make decisions on strategic plans, go-to-market strategies, organizational structure, and compensation. Doug has also focused on improving efficiencies and managing revenue and expenses to drive healthier margins for the business. Throughout their career, Doug has led finance teams and provided support to the Sales organization. Prior to their current roles, they served as the VP of Business Manager - New Ventures and VP of Finance for Pearson Curriculum Group's Literacy business unit. Doug has also worked as an Area Business Manager and Senior/Financial Analyst, where they were responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on financial performance.

Doug Thennes obtained their first degree in International Business and Finance from Bradley University - Foster College of Business Administration, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Following this, they pursued further education at DePaul Driehaus College of Business from 2003 to 2005, earning an MBA with a specialization in Managerial Finance. During their time at DePaul, their field of study was focused on Financial Management.
