Eva Murphy

Director, Customer Care Operations at Savvas Learning

Eva Murphy has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Eva began their career as a Research Assistant at the National Institutes of Health, where they conducted diagnostic interviews and worked on a study related to pediatric psychiatric disorders. Eva later joined American University as a Research Assistant in the Psychopharmacology Laboratory, conducting behavioral studies and teaching undergraduate classes.

Moving into the corporate sector, Eva joined Barnes & Noble as an Assistant Store Manager, responsible for delivering excellent customer service and managing financial goals. Eva then transitioned to Pearson, where they held multiple roles including Senior Customer Care Manager and Director of Professional Services Resource Deployment. In these roles, they implemented strategies to optimize consultant utilization and provided technical support to participants in Pearson online courses. Eva also served as a Diversity & Inclusion Advocate and championed continuous improvement protocols.

Eva also worked at National Geographic School Publishing as a Manager of Customer Care & Technical Support and Customer Service & Training. In these positions, they developed operational procedures, established performance metrics, and coordinated the resolution of escalated customer issues.

Currently, Eva Murphy is working at Savvas Learning Co (formerly Pearson K12 Learning) as the Director of Professional Services Operations.

Eva Murphy's education history includes a variety of academic achievements. In 2000, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from American University. Following this, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from National Louis University. Continuing their educational journey, in 2022 they received a Certificate in Global Business from Harvard Business School Online.

In addition to their degrees, Eva Murphy has also obtained several certifications. In November 2014, they earned the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. Eva furthered their knowledge and skills by completing the Six Sigma Foundations certification through LinkedIn in February 2021. Additionally, in March 2021, they obtained a certification in Leading in Uncertain Times also through LinkedIn. Most recently, in February 2022, Eva Murphy obtained a certification in Working with Difficult People from LinkedIn.
