Greg Slook has accumulated a diverse range of work experience throughout their career. Greg began in 1993 as a Production Manager at Marcus Promotions, where they were responsible for electronic layout and design for theatre playbills. Greg played a significant role in transitioning the company to digital prepress and production. Additionally, they maintained relationships with theatre contacts and handled the layout and design of the playbill. In 1998, they joined McDougal Littell as a Content Marketing Specialist, contributing to the design and development of educational materials and creating sales presentations and marketing materials. Greg then became a Regional Marketing Specialist, developing national and regional sales plans and implementing sales and presentation training. Greg also managed territories across multiple states. Later, Greg moved to Pearson North America as a Senior Marketing Manager/Brand Manager, where they managed a product line worth over $50m in yearly sales and drove strong revenue and market share growth. Greg also focused on advertising, promotion, sales support, web marketing, technology product development/marketing, and eCommerce solutions. Greg then took on the role of Strategic Marketing Manager, where they led the development and training of state-level eCommerce options and advised sales teams on custom solutions and content/pricing/competition strategies. Greg eventually became a Campaign Marketing Manager, overseeing K-12 Math, Science/STEM campaigns for Pearson K-12 Learning Services and later for Savvas Learning Co. Greg worked with sales leadership to maximize sales opportunities, identified market trends, and localized marketing strategies. Throughout their career, Greg has demonstrated strong leadership and team-building skills.
Greg Slook obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in United States History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they completed between 1984 and 1987. Greg later pursued further education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where they enrolled in the Master of Arts Program from 1994 to 1996. During this program, they focused their studies on United States History and Political Science.
