Alexander Opitz

Alexander Opitz has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Alexander most recently worked as the Head of Legal & Compliance Operations at SBB CFF FFS starting in March 2020. Prior to that, they worked for Swiss Re as a Technology and Project Manager in the Legal & Compliance department from November 2016 to February 2020. Before that, they held various roles at Carlson Wagonlit Travel, including Continuous Improvement Lean Six Sigma Black Belt EMEA Traveller Services, Director TTS Optimization EMEA, Director Technical Service Centers and Fulfillment Centers EMEA, and Head of TTS Support Germany/Austria.

Alexander Opitz has a diverse education history. In 2000 to 2002, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Tourismusfachwirt from the Tourism School of Frankfurt in Germany. Alexander later pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management from Hochschule Schmalkalden from 2006 to 2008. More recently, they completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Compliance and Corporate Governance from Fernfachhochschule Schweiz in 2022, followed by another Certificate of Advanced Studies in IT & Law from the same institution in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Alexander Opitz has also obtained certifications in related fields. Alexander completed a course titled "DevOps – Grundlagen" at LinkedIn in 2022 and "Grundlagen der Informatik: Das Internet" at LinkedIn in 2021.
