Adrianne Grimes is the current Director of Marketing & Communications at SC Launch, Inc. Adrianne has held this position since April of 2020. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Telehealth External Affairs at the Medical University of South Carolina from April 2016 to April 2020. During their time there, they founded Telehealth Awareness Week (TAW), which was later adopted by the American Telemedicine Association (ATA).
From May 2012 to April 2016, Grimes served as the Vice President of PR & Communications for Consumers’ Choice Health Plan. In this role, they led public affairs, PR, and communications for sister Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance CO-OPs: Consumers' Choice Health Plan (SC) and Community Health Alliance (TN).
Grimes also has experience as an owner and consultant. Adrianne ran their own communications business, R.M. Grimes Marketing Communications, from October 2008 to September 2012. During that time, they managed presidential primary, congressional, state, and local political communications for major clients like the N.A.A.C.P., Newt for America SC Presidential Primary, Tim Scott for Congress, Tom Rice for Congress, David Mack for SC House, and Anna Johnson for Charleston County Council. Adrianne also worked on non-political projects for Evening Post Publishing and Youth Empowerment Services.
Adrianne Grimes received their Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina. Adrianne then went on to earn their Master of Science from The Citadel.
