Katherine Vaughan serves as a clinical research & data analyst for SCLRC studies. Katie supports comprehensive clinical trial design & management, including: protocol/ICF development, IRB submission and approval, site feasibility and startup, eCRF/EDC build and database administration, AE/SAE reporting, and streamlined multi-center administrative communication and SOPPs. Katie is also the go-to for all things data-related. She provides data quality assurance and SDV, abstraction of narrative text and imaging, analysis for publication and future funding opportunities, metrics for contract and budget negotiation. She also monitors regulatory and compliance standards to meet HIPAA, FDA, & Institutional protections. Previously, Katie worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Research Analyst in Translational Oncology at UC San Diego's Moores Cancer Center. Katie is currently consulting on clinical trials and cancer genomics studies. Katie is particularly interested in supporting biomarker exploration, drug discovery, and translational science by building better systems and promoting interdisciplinary cooperation for the development and testing of personalized medicine as well as patient-centric innovation.
