Aj Newton

AJ Newton has a diverse work experience, starting in 2007 as an Assistant Chief Page with the South Carolina House of Representatives. Later, from 2011 to 2012, they worked as an Office Manager and Legislative Assistant at McGuireWoods Consulting. They then moved on to the University of South Carolina, where they served as a Graduate Assistant for Student Government Executive Programs from 2012 to 2013. Following that, they worked as an Enrollment Advisor at Midlands Technical College from 2013 to 2014. From 2014 to 2022, AJ Newton was a Budget Analyst with the SC House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President for Governmental Relations at the SC Technical College System, starting in October 2022.

AJ Newton has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General and Marketing from the University of South Carolina, earned between 2006 and 2010. They also obtained a Masters of Education degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the same university between 2012 and 2013.
