Oskar Karnblad has a diverse and extensive work experience. Oskar started their career as an Engineering Intern at Amerden AGVS in 2014, where they worked on low-level programming, electronic troubleshooting, and AutoCAD. Oskar then joined Kollmorgen as a Summer intern Engineering in 2015, where they mounted and contributed to the electrical design process for AGVs and gained expertise in regression tests, electronics, and electrical schematics.
In 2016, Oskar worked as a Summer intern IT Support at Acando, where they provided troubleshooting and IT support to employees, worked with modern IT-systems, and applied SQL coding for organizational purposes. Oskar also worked as a Microsoft Student Partner at Microsoft, where they organized events and represented Microsoft on campus.
Oskar joined Tummy Lab in 2017 for their Master Thesis, where they published a paper on algorithmic detection of causal relationships between food intake and stomach issues using machine learning. Oskar utilized Python3, pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, PyMC3, and seaborn for their research.
Following their Master Thesis, Oskar worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at MM Sports, where they developed a recommendation system proposal using Python3, pandas, and spark. Oskar then joined Volvo Cars as a Global Software Engineering Graduate in 2017, where they gained experience in emerging technologies, web development, computer graphics, Unity, image analysis, machine learning, and Docker. Oskar also worked as a Machine Learning/Software Engineer, focusing on active learning.
In 2020, Oskar co-founded Nutrie, where they served as the CEO and Co-Founder. Nutrie provides a platform that personalizes the food experience by filtering out ingredients that users cannot or do not want to eat. Oskar then co-founded Tectro Studios in the same year and worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Co-founder.
Currently, Oskar is working at Scaffcalc as a Senior Software Engineer. Oskar has previously held roles as the Head of Data and the Chief Operating Officer. Scaffcalc is a scaffolding software for contractors in Sweden and Norway, offering calculation and visualization tools, as well as inspection software for safety representatives.
Oskar Karnblad has a strong educational background in the field of biomedical engineering. From 2011 to 2017, they attended Chalmers University of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical Engineering. Additionally, in 2015, they briefly studied Business Administration 1 at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
In terms of additional certifications, Oskar Karnblad has obtained several machine learning certifications. In 2016, they completed the "Machine Learning by Stanford University on Coursera" course, earning a certificate from Coursera Course Certificates. Then, in 2018, they obtained two more certifications, namely "Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach" and "Machine Learning for Data Analysis," both from Coursera.
