Shaoline Sheppard has a diverse work experience. In 2021, they began working as a Data Analyst for Scailyte. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Bioinformatician at the laboratory of virology and genetics headed by Prof. Didier Trono. Her work consisted of processing and analyzing high-throughput data. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Research Assistant for the Laboratory of Prof. Christophe Dessimoz. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Master Thesis Project for the Laboratory of Prof. Yves Poirier under the supervision of Jules Deforges. Her project was focused on the role of several noncoding RNAs in the regulation of translation and consisted of a wet lab and dry lab part. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Research Intern for the Laboratory of Christophe Dessimoz under the supervision of Natasha Glover. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Mentoring, Private Tutor, and Summer Research Intern at the University of Lausanne. Her Summer Research Internship was in the lab of Prof. Jan Roelof van der Meer at the Department of Fundamental Microbiology, UNIL and focused on a bacterial strain of Pseudomonas veronii.
Shaoline Sheppard received a Scientific high school degree with honours from Lycée Français de Séoul in 2011-2013. Shaoline then attended the University of Cambridge and obtained a Cambridge Certificate in advanced english (CAE) in 2013. Shaoline then returned to the University of Lausanne and obtained a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology in 2013-2016. Shaoline completed their education at the University of Lausanne in 2018 with a Master of Science in Molecular Life Sciences with a specialisation in bioinformatics.
