Network Engineer at Scala Computing

Varun Lakshmanan has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. In 2012, they were a Technical Intern for Hybrid Energy India Pvt. Ltd. where they designed solar power projects using machine learning and processed raw data files from datasets provided. In 2016, they were a Network Engineering Intern at Progility Technologies Pvt. Ltd. where they observed the working of a communication server and the function of its various components such as line cards. Varun also worked as a Project Intern at Zeliant Enterprise Pvt. Ltd. during the same year, where they were part of a team that designed and built a miniature Proton Exchange Membrane Hydrogen Fuel Cell - PEMHFC generator. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Student Researcher at the University of South Florida. Currently, Varun Lakshmanan is a Network Engineer at Scala Computing.

Varun Lakshmanan has an extensive educational background. Varun started their educational journey in 1996 at OLPS High School, where they completed their elementary school education. In 2005, they moved to DAV Public School and completed their high school and junior college education. Varun then attended SIES Graduate School of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Communication in 2014. After that, they attended Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering Pune, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication in 2017. In 2018, Varun began their Master of Science (MS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of South Florida, which they completed in 2020. Varun has also obtained several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from 3V Consultants - Center fot Business Excelence in 2017, AWS Certified Developer – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020, CCNA from Cisco in 2020, and Juniper Networks Certified Associate, Automation and DevOps (JNCIA-DevOps) from Juniper Networks in 2020.
