Julio Castillo has been working in the IT industry since 1992. julio began their career at BBVA Banco Provincial as an Asssembler programmer and Especialista OS2 systems. Then, Especialista Unix in 2005, and was promoted to Gerente de Infraestructura Unix in 2011, where they were responsible for designing Unix infrastructure and coordinating technical projects. In 2017, they joined Farmatodo as an Administrador Sistemas Linux Solaris, and in 2018 they moved to Escala 24x7 Inc. as an AWS Cloud Engineer.

Julio Castillo received their Lic. Computación from Universidad Central de Venezuela in an 2008 year. Previously, julio received their TSU of Informática in 1993. Also, He has completed a degree in Administration with a mention in Computer Science from the Universidad Experimental Simón Rodríguez in the 2000 year. Julio then went on to receive certifications from CBT Nuggets, Amazon Web Services (AWS), CloudHealth by VMware, and IAB Spain. In 2017, they obtained their LPI Linux LPIC-1 and CompTIA Linux+ Prep 4.0 certification from CBT Nuggets. In 2018, they obtained their AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification from Amazon Web Services. In 2019, they obtained their CloudHealth Platform Admin Associate certification from CloudHealth by VMware. In 2020, they obtained their AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certifications from Amazon Web Services. Lastly, in 2021, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification from Amazon Web Services.
