Ye Tian

Alvin Ye Tian is a co-founder at BlockCarbon and a research fellow at the Harvard Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, engaged in climate change and Sino-US relations research since June 2022. Additionally, Alvin serves as an investor at Scale Asia Ventures, having previously been a research fellow at Harvard's Belfer Center, focusing on pathways to carbon net-zero by 2050. Past experiences include venture capital roles at Alpha Edison and Fosun, research on bitcoin derivatives at Fidelity Investments, and advisory work on stable coins at Saga. With a decade-long background at Shell in various investment and procurement roles, Alvin is well-versed in M&A, fintech product management, and strategic investment across energy and logistics sectors. Academic qualifications include an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA from MIT, and an MEng from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, alongside a diploma in purchasing and supply from CIPS.
