M.eng Joakim Lea

Joakim Lea, M.Eng, is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Scan Tech since April 2022, with previous experience as a Global Sales Engineer at Emerson and as a Solutions Engineer at Phoenix Laser Solutions, where Joakim developed laser welding processes for various high-profile industries. Prior to that, Joakim worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at GE Transportation, focusing on process improvement and collaboration across functional teams. Joakim also has a background in academia, having served as a Project Monitor and Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Arlington, overseeing capstone projects and guiding students in engineering principles. Joakim's earlier roles include leadership in advanced materials projects and contributions to notable engineering designs. Joakim holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington.
