José Javier Rosell García

José Javier Rosell García has been working in the technology industry since 2016. In 2016, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Student at Research Group RFIDUJA. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Big Data Health Technologies - BDH Techno as a Data Scientist. During this time, they used stacked ensembles and oversampling techniques to improve the accuracy and increase the sensitivity of a system for early identification of breast cancer from metabolomic data. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at M&GT Consulting as a Big Data Engineer and Technical Lead. During this time, they designed and implemented an application architecture following SOLID principles, and tuned the application interaction with the cluster to enable a fair use of resources and improve performance and reliability. José Javier then moved to Scanbuy, where they are currently employed as a Senior Data Engineer and Senior Machine Learning Engineer. José Javier has designed and implemented a serverless machine learning pipeline, leveraging AWS and state-of-the-art algorithms to identify behavioral cohorts in massive datasets, enabling explainable modeling.

José Javier Rosell García attended the Faculty of Technical Sciences at the University of Novi Sad from 2017 to 2018, where they earned a degree in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence. Prior to that, they attended the Universidad de Jaén from 2013 to 2017, where they earned an Engineer's degree in Computer Software Engineering.
