Derek Trask

Derek Trask has worked in the engineering industry since 2010. Derek began their career at Lietner-Poma of America, Inc. as a R&D Mechanical Engineer for two years. Derek then moved to Structural Components, LLC, where they served as Lead Design Engineer and Lead Designer / CAD/Draft Department Chair for four years. During this time, they designed large scale turnkey jobs using field data, engineering numbers, Solidworks CAD operation and complex fit up, construction and fabrication detailing. Derek also managed subordinate employees in the same line of work. In 2016, they took on the role of Director of Engineering at GrowGeneration Corp. After three years, they moved to Alcam Metal Distributors as a Special Project Manager. Most recently, they have been working as the Service Bureau Manager at ScanCAD International, Inc. since 2021.

Derek Trask attended the Colorado School of Mines from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
