Gaël C.

Gaël C. has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research. Gaël started their career as a Ph.D. student at CNRS, where they led an independent project focused on the regulation of inflammatory and angiogenic events in intestinal epithelial cells. Gaël then joined Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research as a Scientist, experiencing a highly collaborative working environment and contributing to the improvement of patients' lives. Gaël then worked as a Post-doctoral Researcher at University College London, where they had the opportunity to learn from experts in hypoxia/HIF regulation and cancer metabolism.

Afterward, Gaël took a sabbatical in Stockholm, Sweden, before joining Uppsala University as a Researcher. During their time at Uppsala University, Gaël optimized and commercialized in situ proximity-dependent assays. Gaël later joined Sprint Bioscience as an Associate Principal Scientist, where they were responsible for assay implementation and application in cancer and type 2 diabetes programs. Gaël then moved to ADAPTIMMUNE LIMITED as a Senior Scientist, focusing on T cell metabolism and the characterization of clinical products.

Currently, Gaël is working at Scancell Ltd as a Senior Scientist, where they are involved in translational research projects utilizing DNA and peptide vaccines to harness the immune response against diseases such as cancer and SARS-COV-2. Gaël also runs immunological monitoring assays and TCR functional assays for research projects.

Throughout their career, Gaël has gained valuable experience in assay development, optimization, and application, as well as project management and collaborative scientific discussions. Gaël'swork experiences have contributed to their expertise in immuno-oncology and T cell biology.

Gaël C. obtained a P.hD in health and life sciences from Université Côte d'Azur, where they attended from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Gaël also obtained a certification in "Probability and Statistics: To p or not to p?" from Coursera in July 2020.
