Adwoa Wiafe has a strong background in legal and corporate services. Adwoa currently holds the position of Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer at MTN Ghana, starting in May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation from 2012 to 2023, where they held several roles including General Manager, Legal & Compliance, Principal Legal Officer, and Manager, Legal and Board Secretary. Adwoa also has experience working internationally, serving as a Legal Officer at the International Criminal Court from 2009 to 2011 and as an Assistant Prosecutor at the Special Court for Sierra Leone from 2002 to 2005.
Adwoa Wiafe has a diverse education history. Adwoa attended Wesley Girls' High School from 1985 to 1992, where they obtained their GCE O & A Level qualifications. Adwoa then pursued their Bachelor of Law degree at the University of Ghana from 1993 to 1997. Adwoa pursued further studies at St Hugh's College, University of Oxford, where they earned their Bachelor of Civil Law degree from 1999 to 2000. Finally, they attended Harvard Law School from 2000 to 2001, where they obtained their LLM degree in Law.
