Bernd Schoner

Bernd Schoner is a seasoned professional in product strategy and technology development with extensive experience in AI and computer vision. Currently serving as the Head of Product Strategy at Scandit since January 2020, Bernd is instrumental in M&A strategy, patent portfolio management, and product strategy operations. Bernd co-founded DeepMagic Inc. and led it to success before its acquisition by Standard Cognition, where Bernd worked as Executive Advisor following the acquisition. Previous roles include Vice President at Novanta and Trimble, where Bernd led post-acquisition integrations and strategic revenue growth. At ThingMagic, Bernd co-founded the company, achieving significant innovations in RFID technology. Bernd holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and dual master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and CentraleSupélec, respectively.
