Rich Carlson has a diverse work experience spanning from 1977 to 2015. Rich started as a Firefighter-EMT at the Village of Buffalo Grove from February 1977 and continued until an unspecified date in 1984. From 1979 to 1984, they worked as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher/Service Officer at the City of Park Ridge, IL Police Department. In August 1984, they joined the Village of Winnetka and held various roles including Police Sergeant, Director of Administrative Services, and 911 until March 2015. Most recently, since 2010, Rich has worked at Scanner Master in a Sales, Support, and Development role.

Rich Carlson has a history of education in the field of Criminal Justice, Public Administration, and Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting, and Related Protective Services. Rich attended Harper College from 1979 to 1982, where they earned an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice and Public Administration.
