Sayoung Jung

Sayoung Jung is the current Managing Director of Global Corporate Development and Strategy at Scapa Group. Prior to this, they were the Head of Deal Finance at AstraZeneca from June 2020 to March 2021, where they advised healthcare clients on and executed cross-border mergers and acquisitions, public company defense, sales of private companies, licensing transactions, asset swaps and joint venture partnerships. Sayoung also advised US corporate clients on and executed sales of European assets.

Sayoung Jung began their career at Scapa Healthcare as the Chief Commercial Officer from October 2018 to June 2020. During their time there, they were responsible for key external relationships and developing and delivering an integrated commercial plan and vision for the company, positioning Scapa Healthcare as an innovation-driven leader in the B2B advanced wound care, consumer health and medical device fixation manufacturing space. Sayoung also led, grew, and mentored a high-performing commercial organization including new business development, sales, marketing and customer service.

Sayoung Jung received a BA in Economics with a minor in Math from Hunter College.

Their manager is Heejae Chae, Group Chief Executive. Sayoung Jung works with Oskar Zahn - Chief Financial Officer, Sevan Demirdogen - President & Executive Vice-President, and Wendy Baker - Group General Counsel and Company Secretary.
