Charlotte Blessing, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of molecular oncology and biotechnology. Charlotte is currently working as a Portfolio Manager at Scenic Biotech since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientist in Target Discovery and Project Management at Scenic Biotech from June 2021 to May 2023.

Charlotte obtained their Ph.D. degree in Molecular Oncology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München in September 2016. During their Ph.D., they made significant contributions by discovering a new pathway for cancer treatment through the study of PARP inhibitors and chromatin changes on the DNA damage response. Charlotte also initiated and coordinated an international collaboration, acquired funding, supervised students and technicians, and presented their research at international conferences. Charlotte published several first-author and co-author publications.

In 2020, Charlotte worked as a Scientist in Drug Discovery and Patent Writing at Eisbach Bio GmbH for a brief period. Charlotte also participated in the BioBusiness Summer School organized by Hyphen Projects in June 2020.

Prior to their Ph.D., Charlotte completed their Master's thesis in RNA biology and molecular biology at the University of Göttingen from October 2015 to March 2016, and conducted research internships at Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry from January 2015 to August 2015, and INSERM in August 2013, focusing on biochemistry, mass spectrometry, and molecular medicine, respectively. Charlotte also worked as a Research Assistant in molecular biology and molecular medicine at the University of Regensburg from November 2013 to August 2014.

Overall, Charlotte has a strong background in molecular oncology, project management, drug discovery, and patent writing, with significant accomplishments in research, collaboration, and publication.

Charlotte Blessing, PhD completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Molecular Medicine at the University of Regensburg from 2011 to 2014. Following that, from 2014 to 2015, they pursued their Master of Science (MSc) in Molecular Biology at The University of Göttingen. Charlotte then continued their education at the IMPRS-LS | International Max Planck Research School for Molecular Life Sciences, where they obtained their Dr. rer. nat. in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences from 2016 to 2021.
