Julie Shapiro

Julie Shapiro has extensive experience in education, currently serving as an Assistant Principal at Schaumburg School District 54 since August 2014, where roles have included Literacy Coach and Fourth Grade Teacher. Previous experience includes serving as Program Director and Unit Head at "Z" Frank Apachi Day Camp from June 2011 to July 2018, as well as student teaching positions at Sangamon Elementary School and Urbana School District #116. Early career experience involved working as a Camp Counselor and Lifeguard at Steve and Shari Sadek Family Camp Interlaken JCC. Julie Shapiro holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Concordia University, a Master of Arts as a Reading Specialist from Olivet Nazarene University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
