Terri McHugh

Terri McHugh is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Community Relations Executive Director for Schaumburg School District 54 since August 1999, where responsibilities include overseeing strategic communications and public relations for a district comprising 2,000 employees and 15,000 students. In addition to this role, Terri has contributed as a Communication Auditor for the National School Public Relations Association since September 2021. Prior experience includes a tenure as an editor and reporter at Pioneer Press, where from 1992 to 1999, Terri wrote and edited various news articles and supervised newspaper staff. Terri holds a Master of Science in Journalism and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, Political Science, and Spanish, both from Northwestern University.
