John Blau

AR/VR Game Designer and Prototyper at Schell Games

John Blau has a diverse work experience. In 2018, they interned at Hasbro as a Virtual Reality Developer Intern. In 2018, they also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology. In 2019, they served as a Production Assistant at MAGIC Spell Studios. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Resident Advisor at RIT Center for Residence Life, where they built a community on the floor and mediated resident conflicts. John'smost recent role is with Schell Games, where they started in 2020 as an AR/VR Game Designer and Prototyper. In this role, they directed various projects, including mixed reality experiences and implemented tutorial and accessibility features. John also presented a talk on hand tracking at the 2022 Game Developer's Conference.

John Blau earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Game Design and Development from the Rochester Institute of Technology. John attended the institute from 2016 to 2019.
