Guolin Zhao

Guolin Zhao has extensive work experience in the field of biostatistics. Guolin is currently the Director of Biostatistics at Scholar Rock, a position they started in April 2022. Prior to joining Scholar Rock, Guolin worked at Biogen for almost a decade, from August 2013 to July 2022, where they held the role of Biostatistician in AD Biostatistics. Before Biogen, Guolin served as a Summer Intern at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research in June 2013. Guolin also gained experience as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at North Carolina State University. From August 2012 to May 2013, they held the position of Teaching Assistant, and from August 2010 to May 2012, they served as a Research Assistant. Guolin also interned as a Biostatistician at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals from June 2011 to August 2011. Lastly, from August 2008 to May 2010, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at North Carolina State University.

Guolin Zhao pursued their education with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information & Computational Science from Zhejiang University of Technology, from 2002 to 2006. Guolin then continued their studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Mathematics with a focus on Applied Statistics, completing this program between 2006 and 2008. Subsequently, they joined North Carolina State University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Statistics, which spanned from 2008 to 2013.
